It was June 2016 and I was binge-watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix. It was the later season where Lorelei becomes a photographer and finds her passion. This really resonated with me because I believe, a big part of me had been searching for my true passion for a long time.
I graduated from Western CT State University with my BA in Theater Arts with the goal of hitting the Big Apple, working as a professional actor and model. I ultimately deviated from that plan, realizing that life wasn’t for me.
So six years later, cue Gilmore Girls, I decided to buy my first DSLR camera, just so at least I can take wall-hanging-worthy images of my 4 dogs (yes, 4!) I was suddenly obsessed with learning every aspect of photography. From shooting techniques to lighting, posing, and editing. I couldn’t and still can’t get enough of educating myself on this beautiful art form.
Weddings are my favorite thing to photograph, without a doubt! The rush of the day is such a thrill and the couples I meet along the way are truly special! I approach working with couples as a new, great friendship. We are going to know each other well by the end of this! I want you to be so comfortable with me that by the time the big day arrives, I have your complete trust to preserve your wedding memories!
I am outgoing romantic with a huge geeky side. I’d say my photographic style is half posed and half freestyle. I like to set you two up, give some direction throughout, but keeps things relaxed and let your natural chemistry and love for each other shine through. So whether you are super comfortable or slightly shy in front of the camera, I have got you covered!
Oh! And in case you were wondering… my husband and I named our dogs: Marty Mcfly, DOC (Dr. Emmitt L Brown), Obiwan Kenobi, and our only girl, Shelby!
